ABOUT THE AISUSA FOUNDATION
Welcome to the AIS USA Foundation website.
The Australian Independent Schools (AIS) USA Foundation was incorporated in the United States in 2006 and has been granted tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) status by the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible for US taxpayers and may be of benefit to Canadians with US tax liability.
Donating to the Foundation.
From student scholarships to the building of new facilities to teacher professional development programs, our affiliated institutions, staff and students will benefit from your gift to the Foundation.
From its beginnings in 2006 to early 2012, the Foundation has received gifts totaling over $1,023,000. These gifts, received in a variety of ways, allow the Foundation to support Australian Independent Schools with significant Foundation grants. Gifts to the Foundation may be made in a variety of ways:
- Cash
- Stock
- Charitable Gift Funds
- Private Foundations
- Corporate Foundations. AIS alumni that serve on corporate boards may, in some cases, request a corporate grant directed to the Foundation.
- Corporate Matching Gifts. Donors that work for a matching gift corporation can sometimes double or triple their gifts. Many U.S. companies participate in gift matching programs. Some companies may even match gifts made by retirees and spouses of employees. To find out if your employer has a matching gift policy, contact your Human Resources representative or charitable Giving/Grants Department to see if this is an option for you. If so, request a matching gift form from your employer and send it completed with your gift. It’s that easy! The AISUSA Foundation will do the rest.
The AISUSA Foundation will work with donors that wish to use these options as well as bequests, real estate, and donations of personal property. Please contact the AISUSA Secretary for additional information and assistance at secretary@aisusafoundation.com
Connect with todays students by supporting the Foundation's educational mission.
The Foundation Directors encourage all Australian Independent schools with alumni and friends working and living in the United States to consider becoming an affiliated member of the Foundation and support Australian education.
We are all mindful that fund raising is not easy – however, giving is…
Please consider your next gift to the Australian Independent Schools USA Foundation and in doing so, support Australian youth who will be our leaders of tomorrow.
UPCOMING EVENTS IN 2012
The AISUSA Foundation and Affiliated Schools are planning jointly sponsored events in the United States.
These casual get-togethers will likely be hosted on the west and east coasts, and will be a great opportunity for everyone to gather to share memories, reconnect with friends, visit with their headmasters/headmistresses, and make new friends.
